On August 20, 1998, Burroughs & Chapin Company, Inc. and its subsidiary, International Speed Parks L.L.C., announced plans today to build a NASCAR SpeedPark stock-car racing themed amusement park on a 25 acre site on U.S. Highway 441 in Sevierville, TN.
